How Our Auto Dealers Serving Liberty Can Help You Find the Perfect Engine Type

To our Kansas City Chevy dealers, the engine is everything. When you check out our vehicles at Heartland Chevrolet, you’ll find a diverse list of engine types, each of which can dramatically affect the way you drive, and what your vehicle is fully capable of doing.

Not every car is going to be designed to tow heavy trailers, just like how not every car is going to be capable of off-roading or being an efficient commuter. While there are a lot of factors that determine what your vehicle can or can’t do, at the heart of any model is the engine type.

Engines vary almost as much as the cars they power. The vehicles within our lineup at Heartland Chevrolet range from sleek and slim four-cylinders, to robust V6 or V8 powerhouses. There are other factors worth considering as well, such as whether an engine is turbocharged, however, the cylinder count can be the biggest factor in determining what your engine is good at.

Typically V6 or V8 engines deliver all kinds of horsepower and torque at the cost of fuel efficiency. These types of engines excel at towing, off-roading, and sheer speed. While not all vehicles with V6 or V8 engines are gas guzzlers, the majority of them tend to have a much lower mpg count than four-cylinder vehicles. Four-cylinder vehicles can vary the most wildly, as some vehicles with turbo-4 engines can punch off a racetrack alongside V6s. That said, a large portion of four-cylinder engines are installed into a standard commuter and compact cars that may deliver decent power, but attempt to reduce fuel consumption in the process.

So, which engine type should you look for in your ideal Chevrolet vehicle? Well, our Chevy parts team at Heartland Chevrolet can point you in the right direction. By utilizing their expert knowledge you can set yourself up in a vehicle that is a perfect fit for your lifestyle.
